1st Win in 12 After Late Jess Strike
The Dons started quickly and took the lead through Eoin Jess after only 90 seconds. Jess was quickest to react to the rebound after Mike Newell had seen his fierce effort saved by Butler. The Dons were on fire early on and could have been as much as four up in the first fifteen minutes but a combination of the Crossbar and some outstanding goalkeeping from Lee Butler ensured the Pars stayed in the game. As the first half wore on, the visitors became more involved and the game is evenly poised at half time.

The second half was far closer and Athletic took advantage of slack Dons defending with eight minutes remaining to grab the equaliser through Jamie Squires. It looked as if yet another draw was on the cards. Eoin Jess though had other ideas and within a minute latched on to a Mike Newell pass, rounded Andy Tod and coolly slotted the ball past Butler for what proved to be the winner and give the Dons their first win in twelve outings.

Youngsters Iain Good and Darren Mackie were both on the bench but were not called into action.
